Commissary Staff


Commissary Staff aim to save–and make–their company money while providing it with the supplies needed to run smoothly.Commissary Staff share a number of common responsibilities.

Job Description:

  • Abide with the Company’s policy, rules and regulations and Code of Conduct
  • Stores, prepares, and delivers foods.
  • Receive deliveries from suppliers.
  • Sorts and stores items on shelves, in bins, or in refrigerated storage room of commissary.
  • Measures, weighs, or counts items to obtain amount of food specified for production.
  • Maintaining a sanitary and well-stocked kitchen.
  • Keeping a clean, sanitary kitchen. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils and silverware.
  • Conducting inventory counts, and subsequently ordering needed supplies.
  • Prepares reports, such as inventory balance. Inform supervisor for running low supplies.
  • Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
  • Prepares list of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items.
  • Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to order materials, goods and supplies. Send them to suppliers.
  • Review inventories and order as required.
  • Review deliveries against the orders.
  • Track the status of any orders.
  • Deal with non- supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods.
  • Ensure that any invoices are sent to accounts for payment.
  • Produce and maintain all reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
