Medical Records Officer Job Description
Under the direct supervision of the Hospital Administrator, supervises, maintains and updates patient files; retrieves files for medical purposes. Studies patient charts; files all patient data upon receipt of information; initiates records for new patients and inputs them in computer; prepares file labels. Updates ICD-10 coding in compliance with DOH/PhilHealth requirements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of any four-year Medical-related course/ degree, Business courses may be considered also
- Trained (or with experience) in International Classification of Diseases (ICD) 10 Coding
- Preferably age 25 – 40 with good physical condition, preferably female but males are also considered
- Has leadership potential or experience
- Can communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbal
- With strong attention to detail, meticulous
- Can work alone or with minimal supervision, high initiative continue reading
